One School, One Book is an activity Monroe El has been pleased to participate in for a number of years. We are getting excited as we prepare for this year's experience! The book has been chosen and will be introduced to students when Mrs. Kovachi reads the first chapter to each class.

A copy of the book goes home with each Monroe El family, thanks to the generosity of our PTO, along with a calendar of suggested dates for each chapter. Families are encouraged to carve out some special time to read and discuss the book together. Younger students will enjoy it as parents or siblings read to them. Older students often share the reading.

Each morning, trivia questions are asked during morning announcements and the buzz of students sharing responses can be heard throughout the school.

One School, One Book is a shared literacy experience. One selected title is shared at home with families and in school with teachers and classmates. Keep your eyes open for this year's book and enjoy the experience!
