Nonfiction reading - November 2017

Currently your second grader is reading nonfiction during their Reader’s Workshop time. What an exciting genre! After all, who doesn’t like to read about real people, places and events? Research shows that reading remains one of the most important things an adult can do with their child. Sharing a nonfiction book will not only be informative, but a great way to encourage your child to be an active reader who makes predictions and asks lots of questions. So, go on and navigate your way through some nonfiction and widen your child’s view of the world. Enjoy!!
