There is much to be thankful for. Something I am thankful for is the many different ways your child can access books to support her/his learning. Does your child have their own library card? It is free and may motivate them to want to go to the library often to take out a few books. There will be many opportunities for your child to spend some time reading with the upcoming days off. Visit the town library http://www.ewml.org/ for information about new and exciting books and interesting programs. There is also an opportunity to download books to your child’s technology devices, if they prefer that method. Visit http://www.ala.org/alsc/awardsgrants/bookmedia/newberymedal/newberymedal for other ideas of Newbery Medal award books. Of course, don’t forget about visiting our own Monroe El library.
